Mack is a Carpenter that first appears alongside the other Carpenters repairing the northern entrance to Hyrule Town after Princess Zelda is turned to stone by Vaati. The Carpenters are later found repairing an area in the Eastern Hills after Link obtains the Earth Element from Deepwood Shrine. He tells Link that Mutoh works the Carpenters hard, not even allowing breaks.[2]
After Link obtains the Cane of Pacci, Mack can be found in the Carpenters Shop in Hyrule Town for the remainder of the game. He is one of the potential characters to have a random Kinstone Fusion available.[3]
Nomenclature
The name Mack is derived from various Irish and Scottish surnames, which commonly begin with Mac or Mc.[4] It is also known to be a Medieval form of the name Magnus.[5]
