Mipha's Statue is a recurring Object in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Mipha's Statue is a Statue located in the center of the Zora's Domain Square. It depicts Mipha, the princess of the Zora, carrying her Lightscale Trident. She is standing upon a pedestal, with rocks forming outwards from the tip of her spear.

When Link first arrives in Zora's Domain, Laflat can be found inspecting Mipha's Statue for damage.[3] If Link approaches her, she asks if he is curious about the Statue.[4] She explains that Mipha was formerly the Zora Champion, and she was known to be kind and beautiful.[5] Mipha had the power to heal wounded soldiers,[6] and though they are older now, they still remember and love her.[7] Laflat suggests speaking to the elders to learn more about Mipha.[8]

During Link's meeting with King Dorephan, the King will find out about Link's missing memories.[9][10] Once he finds out this also applies to Mipha,[11] King Dorephan suggests Link look out at her Statue to try and jog his memory.[12] When this does not work, King Dorephan decides to let Link's memory to come back with time.[13]

After Muzu storms out of the Throne Room, he and Sidon can be found arguing with each other in front of Mipha's Statue.[14][15] After Sidon reveals that Mipha was in love with Link,[16] Muzu refuses to believe it.[17] He cites Link's missing memories of Mipha as proof against this, noting how he does not recognize her when he looks at the Statue.[18] This prompts Link to look up at it, which triggers the "Mipha's Touch" Recovered Memory.

Once Divine Beast Vah Ruta has been calmed, Sidon will periodically stand in front of Mipha's Statue. If Link speaks to him during this time, he will apologize for being caught in a moment of weakness.[19]

Laruta and Keye will also begin to stand near Mipha's Statue, where Keye will practice fighting with his Tree Branch while Laruta sings the Champion Festival Song.[20][21] When Link asks about the song, she explains that it originates from the Champion Festival and asks if he wants to hear it.[22] If Link decides to listen, Laruta will share the full song.[23] The song details a "scale of light" splitting the feet of a sight at Veiled Falls, which will reveal a trial.[24] This initiates "The Ceremonial Song" Shrine Quest.

If Link speaks to Keye, he laments not being able to jump high enough to read the Statue's pedestal.[25] He remarks that it seems familiar to him and wonders if there was a similar one at Veiled Falls.[26] Keye wishes to jump high enough to be able to pierce it.[27]

Tears of the Kingdom
