Mount Nabooru is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Mount Nabooru is a large protrusion of the Gerudo Highlands, serving as one of the walls of the Gerudo Canyon. It stands opposite to the Koukot Plateau, though they are connected by two natural archways. The Koukot Plateau Path also connects to Mount Nabooru at several points. Several Ore Deposits are located along its edges.

On the southern end of Mount Nabooru, a Stone Talus (Luminous) can be found embedded in the ground.[3] It is initially dormant, but it will begin to move and attack Link if he approaches it.

The "Test of Will" Shrine Quest takes place on Mount Nabooru. To start the Quest, Link must speak to the Goron Blood Brothers on the western side of the mountain, who reveal that they are partaking in a contest of endurance at their ancestral training grounds.[4] Bayge, Heehl, and Kabetta invite Link to participate in their contest.[5][6][7] This involves standing on one of their heated platforms without passing out.[8] After Link wins the contest, the Brothers allow him to try the "contest of ultimate endurance," which is a much hotter platform.[9][10] Bayge also shares a rumor that an Ancient Shrine will appear when someone completes this challenges.[11] If Link is able to pass the Trial, Joloo Nah Shrine will rise from the ground nearby, completing the Shrine Quest.[12][13]

Two Treasure Chests are located on Mount Nabooru. The first is a metallic Treasure Chest on the south end of the mountain, which is embedded in the ground and requires the Magnesis Rune to remove. When Link opens the Chest, he will receive a Moonlight Scimitar. The second is a stone Treasure Chest that it is concealed by a bombable wall on the northeast corner of the mountain, and it contains an Amber.

One Korok Seed Puzzle can be found on Mount Nabooru. At the mountain's southern tip, there is an abandoned well with a metal Boulder chained to it. Using Magnesis, Link can place the Boulder in the well. This causes a Korok to appear and give him a Korok Seed.[14]
