Natie is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.^[1]^[2]

Biography

Breath of the Wild

Natie is a Korok who runs the Spore Store, a Mushroom Shop located within the Great Deku Tree in Korok Forest.^[3] In anticipation of Link's arrival, Natie has been gathering Mushrooms for him.^[4] They welcome Link to make a purchase or sell his Items.^[5]

If Link asks where they are, Natie explains that they are technically inside the Great Deku Tree's stomach, which they warn him not to think too hard about.^[6] Alongside Natie, two other Koroks set up Shops for Link inside the Great Deku Tree, which he allowed them to do.^[7] Noticing that Link is bigger than them, Natie realizes that he may feel cramped.^[8] Despite this, they encourage Link to enjoy his shopping.^[9]

When Link buys one of Natie's Mushrooms, they will thank him and encourage him to eat it.^[10]^[11]^[12] They will also be grateful that they thought to pick Mushrooms for him.^[13] If Link buys all of one type of Mushroom, Natie thanks him and promises to collect more.^[14] If Link buys all of Natie's stock, they will be surprised by how much he likes Mushrooms.^[15] They promise to forage for more, but in the meantime, they offer to buy his Items.^[16]

At the end of their conversations, Natie encourages Link to sell any of his Items to them, even if it is not a Mushroom.^[17] When Link asks to sell to Natie, they ask what he wants to sell.^[18] Natie encourages Link to sell to them, showing interest in what he has to offer.^[19]^[20]^[21]^[22] When Natie makes a purchase, they may try to ask him to keep selling.^[23]^[24] They also promise to take care of their Items they bought from Link.^[25] Finally, after buying one of Link's Items, Natie will occasionally remark that he smells nice.^[26]
