The Ne'ez Yohma Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Pushing Power,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

The Ne'ez Yohma Shrine is located in the middle of Zora's Domain below King Dorephan's Throne Room. It is surrounded by a pool of Water that Fleet-Lotus Seeds and Bright-Eyed Crabs can be found in. Upon entering the Ne'ez Yohma Shrine, the Monk, Ne'ez Yohma, greets him.[2]

Themes and Navigation

The Ne'ez Yohma Shrine consists of one large room that slopes upwards. The entrance starts at the bottom and leads down a platform to the right. Across the platform, a gate blocks Link from the Monk. In order to open the gate, Link must place a large Ancient Orb into a Concave Slot, which is located next to the gate.

Above the small platform, a Waterfall, sloped enough for Link to walk up, carries Boulders that Link must dodge. Along the Waterfall, many large blocks create barriers that roll the Boulders at different angles. A laser also creates an obstacle for Link if he tries to climb the Waterfall. The Ancient Orb sits at the top of the waterfall and Link must make his way to the top.

After reaching the top, the Boulders will stop rolling down the Waterfall. Using Cryonis, Link must shove the Ancient Orb off of its platform and maneuver it towards the Concave Slot. Link can also knock the Ancient Orb to the left or right and use the straight platform to push the Ancient Orb down to the Concave Slot.

Once the Ancient Orb is in the Concave Slot, the gate will open and Link will be able to access the Monk's Pedestal. When Link approachesNe'ez Yohma, the Monk grants him a Spirit Orb as a reward for completing the Trial.[3] Afterwards, Ne'ez Yohma will wish Link well and fade away.[4]

A Treasure Chest containing a Zora Spear can be found atop one of the blocks along the Waterfall. After reaching the top of the Waterfall, Link can take a side path that leads back down and stretches above the middle. Using this platform, Link can drop down onto the block and open the Treasure Chest. Link can also use Cryonis from below and jump to the platform.
