Octorok Tentacles are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Octorok Tentacles are dropped by all types of Octoroks when defeated. Like other Monster Parts, they can't be used for Cooking, but can still be combined with critters in a Cooking Pot to make Elixirs.[1] They can also be exchanged for Mon at the Fang and Bone or used for Light Blue Dye at the Kochi Dye Shop.

Tears of the Kingdom

Octorok Tentacles are once again dropped by Octoroks in Tears of the Kingdom.[2] Due to their acidic taste, they are inedible, though they are highly valued for their utility in Cooking Elixirs with critters in Cooking Pots or Portable Pots.[2]

Octorok Tentacles are required to upgrade the following pieces of Armor at a Great Fairy Fountain:
