Old Man Ulrira, also known as Grandpa Ulrira, is a recurring character and Item in The Legend of Zelda series.

The old man is a walking encyclopedia of Koholint Island. He knows everything about the island! However, he is not very talkative and it can be difficult to get information out of him. His wife is the loud old woman who loves sweeping the front of her house.

Old Man Ulrira is an Old Man who lives in Mabe Village. He lives with his wife Grandma Yahoo in their House,[3] where he can be seen sitting in a rocking chair. Grandpa Ulrira is said to know everything about Koholint Island.[2] He is the one who answers when Link calls from a Telephone Booth, giving him helpful hints on how to proceed in his quest.[8]

Despite being very cheerful and talkative when Talking over the Telephone, Old Man Ulrira is a very shy person in person.[9] If Link Talks to him face to face in his House, he will tell Link to call him from the outside.[10]

In Link's Awakening DX, after Link has met with the Photographer, he can take a peek through the window of his House. If he does, the Photographer will show up and snap a Photograph of Grandpa Ulrira through the window, revealing his talkative nature.

In Hyrule Warriors Legends, Grandpa Ulrira appears as an Item Card for the Koholint Island Map in the Link's Awakening Downloadable Content pack. It is used to answer phones which unlocks secret rewards.
