The Ordon Sword is a recurring Item in The Legend of Zelda series.[1] The Ordon Sword goes unnamed in the Zelda HD Experience.

Location and Uses

Twilight Princess

Forged by Rusl, the Ordon Sword is inlaid with the horns of an Ordon Goat.[2] It is the blade that Link was meant to bring to Hyrule to present to the Royal Family of Hyrule, before he was dragged into the Twilight. There, after meeting Midna, she tells Link that he must find her a suitable Sword and a Shield. Link finds the Ordon Shield in Jaggle and Pergie's house in Ordon Village, and obtains the Ordon Sword in Rusl's house. Since Link cannot use the Sword in wolf form, Midna holds onto them for him after finding the weapons to be useless to her.

The Sword and Shield are automatically equipped when Link returns to his human form. If Link talks to Uli after he returns to human form, she will comment that "monsters" stole the Sword and that Link got it back from them, not knowing that it was he who took it while in wolf form.[3] Link can equip this Sword anytime he wishes, even after he has acquired the Master Sword. The Ordon Sword, however, has no effect on Zant or Ganondorf.

Rusl uses a Sword similar to the Ordon Sword as his weapon at the beginning of the game, and when he meets up again with Link as part of The Resistance.
