Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Paya's Room is located on the second floor of Impa's House in Kakariko Village. It features a Bed in the top right corner, and a Traveler's Guardian Deity can be found on a shelf on the opposite side of the Room.

Paya's Diary rests upon a table at the foot of the Bed, which Link feels compelled to read.[2] If Link examines the Diary while Paya is nearby, she will beg him not to read it.[3]

At 1:00 AM, Paya returns to her Room for the evening. Due to the frequency at which she prays for the protection of Kakariko Village, she loses track of time and does not rest until it is almost morning.[4] When Link speaks to Paya while she is in her Room, she will be shocked by his presence and ask him to leave.[5] Paya spends the entire night writing in her Diary.[6]

During "The Stolen Heirloom" Shrine Quest, Impa asks Link to accompany Paya for the rest of the day, since she is still scared due to the Sheikah Heirloom being taken.[7] Afterwards, Link and Paya will end up in her Room, where she thanks him for helping her.[8] She realizes that her fear will not help them reclaim the Heirloom, and she reveals what she knows about the day of the theft.[9] Paya also believes that the thief may still nearby, and she warns Link to be careful of anyone he sees at night.[10]
