Pendant of Courage
The Pendant of Courage is a recurring Item in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]
Location and Uses
The Pendant of Courage is green in both of its appearances, matching other important items related to Farore such as the Kokiri's Emerald, Farore's Pearl, and Farore's Flame.
A Link to the Past
In A Link to the Past, the Pendant of Courage is located in the Eastern Palace, close to the cave that Sahasrahla is hiding in. It is guarded by a group of six Armos Knights.
A Link Between Worlds
In A Link Between Worlds, Link receives the Pendant of Courage from Princess Zelda after warning her of Yuga's capture of Seres in a painting. Zelda claims that she has seen Link in her dreams, and that she believes he is a hero who has come to vanquish evil.[2] However, though she states that it will aid Link in his journey, Zelda only recognizes the Pendant as a simple charm.[3] After Yuga bars Hyrule Castle from the outside, Sahasrahla reveals to Link that the charm is actually the Pendant of Courage.[4]
Other Appearances
A Link to the Past (Ishinomori)
In the A Link to the Past comic by Shotaro Ishinomori, the Pendant of Courage is given to Link by Sahasrahla after he deems Link worthy of searching for the legendary blade.[5]
