Biography
Breath of the Wild
Pepp is a Korok who can be found inside the Great Deku Tree's Navel in Korok Forest.[3] They have constructed a Bed for Link, where they encourage him to rest.[4] Unlike other Inns, Link does not need to pay Pepp if he wants to sleep in the Bed, since all they want is to help him rest.[5]
The first time Link approaches Pepp, they will be asleep in their seat, having a nightmare about being attacked by vegetarians.[6] They then recognize Link as the hero, recalling that the Great Deku Tree told them he would come to Korok Forest one day.[7] They explains that they have been waiting for his arrival for so long that they feared they would start growing roots.[8] Pepp then officially welcomes Link to the Great Deku Tree's Navel and introduces him to the Bed they made.[3][4]
On subsequent visits to Pepp, they will have fallen back asleep, but they wake up again when Link speaks to them.[9] If Link decides to end their conversation without sleeping, Pepp is not surprised, but they are disappointed he does not appreciate the work they put into preparing the Bed.[10] They then invite Link to come back whenever he desires, reminding him that the Bed is free.[11]
Should Link choose to rest at Pepp's Inn, they ask him to decide on a time to wake up.[12] After Link selects a time, Pepp sends him off to sleep.[13][14][15] When Link wakes up in the morning, Pepp directs him to grab a meal from the Spore Store, which is located next door.[16] In the afternoon, Pepp informs Link that they stood guard over him while he slept.[17] At night, Pepp will sleepily bid Link a good evening when he wakes up, warning him to be careful.[18] They invite Link to come back and rest in their Bed whenever he needs.[19]
