The Pot Smashing Game,[1] also known as the Pot-Smashing Game,[1] is a Mini-Game in Majora's Mask.[name references needed]

Location and Rules

The Pot Smashing Game takes place at the Zora Game Site in Zora Cape, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on each day. A nearby Zora challenges Link to break all five stationary Jars, which sit upon five short pillars, at once; a feat that some Zora (including Mikau) are capable of.[2][3] If Link stands in a precise spot while in his Zora Link form, he can break all the Jars by aiming his Boomerangs at the center Jar, so that they split apart and break the outer Jars on their return. Link is welcome to attempt the challenge in any of his forms,[2] though the only other way to break all the Jars is to detonate a Powder Keg near them, much to the surprise of the proprietor.[4]

The game costs nothing to play, but after every attempt, successful or not, Link must pay 10 Rupees as a "jar replacement" fee.[5] If Link fails an attempt in his Zora Link form, then the proprietor, mistaking him for Mikau, asks if he's lost his touch due to playing the Guitar too much.[6] Completing the challenge earns Link 100 Rupees (minus the fee), and he is allowed to attempt it repeatedly.[7] Since Link does not leave his position after winning the game, he can then play again from the same position, making the Pot Smashing Game one of the simplest ways to earn many Rupees quickly.
