Puffshroom
Puffshrooms are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Location and Uses
Tears of the Kingdom
Puffshrooms are a type of Mushroom growing throughout the Depths. When thrown, struck by a Weapon, Enemy, or Object, shot by an Arrow, or Fused to a Weapon, Shield, or fired Arrow, Puffshrooms emit a smoke-like cloud of spores that blinds nearby Enemies to Link's presence.[1] Affected Enemies can be Sneakstriked while the cloud is present.[3] Link can also freely mount Lynels when they are caught in the spores. Due to the bitter powder they produce, they are inedible.[1]
When Fused to a Weapon or Shield, a Puffshroom will be consumed after only one use. However, if it is Fused to a Weapon that is part of the Korok Gear, it can be used continuously.
Puffshrooms are required to upgrade the following pieces of Armor at a Great Fairy Fountain:

Toss these to obstruct enemies' vision with the smoky dust they produce. While enemies are disoriented by the smoke, you'll have a chance to move in for a sneakstrike.
