Races are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Races are a type of Korok Seed Puzzle found throughout Hyrule Kingdom. They appear with a starting platform in the form of a tree stump with a leaf symbol in the center.[1] If Link stands on the stump, a yellow light shoots out of the stump and lands somewhere nearby, creating a ring of light that slowly shrinks. A timer begins and challenges Link to get through the ring before the ring disappears. If Link fails to make it through the ring, he can try again by standing on the stump. If he makes it in the ring, a Korok will appear and give Link a Korok Seed.[3][1] Races always challenge Link in ways involving sprinting, climbing, gliding with the Paraglider, Shield Surfing, or Swimming.
