Descriptionshide ▲
Wisp
Appears in dungeons.
They float in midair. They won't hurt you, but if you touch them, you won't be able to use your sword for a while.

Red Wisps slowly move through areas in erratic, random patterns. They do not inflict any damage to Link, but will Curse him so that he is unable to use any of his items for a time. When Link makes contact with a Red Wisp, it disappears and its flames surround him for as long as the Curse lasts. When the Curse ends, the Red Wisp reappears. They cannot be attacked directly, but can be sucked up into the Gust Jar, or defeated by shooting Arrows at them. Throwing the Boomerang at them will make them disappear, though they will reappear once Link leaves and enters the area again.
