Reekfish

Reekfish are a recurring species of Fish and Item in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]

Characteristics

Twilight Princess

Reekfish are a rare type of Fish resembling salmon native to Zora's Domain.[4] They can be found swimming around the Mother-and-Child Rocks in Zora's Domain's waterfall basin.[5] Reekfish feed on a special type of Coral and cannot be caught without it.[6] Prince Ralis gives Link his Coral Earring to use as a Lure, allowing him to catch one for himself. Unlike other Fish, Link will not keep the Reekfish on his person after catching it, likely due to how bad it smells. However, he can memorize the dropped Reekfish's Scent as Wolf Link and follow it to guide him through Snowpeak's blizzard.

While the Zora initially believe only Prince Ralis was capable of catching Reekfish, Yeto often comes down from Snowpeak to catch them as well.[7][8]
