Breath of the Wild

In Breath of the Wild, Link is able to Sleep in Beds to pass time and restore his Hearts.[6] At Stables and Inns, Link will have to pay to Sleep in their Beds. However, if he pays for a higher quality Bed, he can gain Extra Hearts or Extra Stamina while asleep.[7] Additionally, he is able to freely Sleep in the Beds at Link's House, the Old Man's Cabin, the Lookout Post, and the Korok Forest Inn, though he cannot gain any Added Effects from them. When Link Sleeps in a Bed, he is able to choose whether he wakes up at morning, noon, or night.

Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, Sleeping works the same as it does in Breath of the Wild. Sleeping in a Bed passes time to morning, noon, or night, and it also allows Link to regain lost Hearts.[8] Link can Sleep in the Beds at Link's House, Princess Zelda's House, the Emergency Shelter, the Lookout Post, and the Korok Forest Inn for free, but they do not provide Added Effects. By paying more for a Bed at an Inn, Link will wake up with Extra Hearts or Extra Stamina.[9] Stables now offer Malanya Beds, and he will hear a message from Malanya while Sleeping one.[10]

Echoes of Wisdom

Princess Zelda is able to Rest in Old Beds and Soft Beds that she summons as Echoes. She can also Rest in Zelda's Bed and its Echoes. When Zelda Rests in a Bed, she will slowly regain Hearts. This process can be sped up by wearing the Silk Pajamas.[11]
