Rock-Hard Food is the result of an invalid cooking recipe. It appears when Link attempts to cook food containing Wood or Ores. Rock-Hard Food only restores a quarter of a Heart to Link's Life Gauge and has no effects. Eating these meals is noted to be difficult.[1]
Moza, the aspiring chef who can be found near Ishto Soh Shrine, has a recipe called the lavish meat dish that will only result in Rock-Hard Food. She tells Link to prepare either bird meat or steak and then to throw in some Ore.[3] If Link calls the recipe gross, she scolds him for being rude and asks how else one is supposed to be a lavish meat dish.[4] However, Moza admits that the resulting meal is always Rock-Hard Food, but she doesn't understand how it gets that rocky.[5]
