Overview
At some point, a resident of Tarrey Town named Hagie chanced upon a Mysterious Crystal in the nearby Hudson Construction Site. Thinking it valuable, he took it with him intending to sell it to someone for a boon.[2] However in spending more time with the Crystal, he grew disturbed by it and is now eager to sell it quickly.[2]
The Shrine Quest begins after Link expresses curiosity about the Crystal. Hagie explains how he found it and offers to sell it to Link for 100 Rupees.[3] Link can agree to the price or haggle for something lower, to which Haggie offers to sell for 80 Rupees instead.[4] Regardless of Link's answer, the Shrine Quest begins as Hagie's wife, Ruli, interrupts and scolds him for trying to sell junk to people.[5][6] She dismisses the Crystal as a large piece of Flint and estimates it as no more than 50 Rupees in value.[6] Though Hagie tries to reason with her that Link may have been willing to settle for a higher price, he falters at his wife's expression and caves.[7]
If Link denies the offer, Ruli continues to scold Hagie for damaging the spirit of Tarrey Town.[8] However, if Link agrees to buy it, Hagie moves the Crystal behind his station and informs Link that he will accept no refunds on the deal.[9][note 1] With a successful purchase, the Shrine Quest will be complete.

*sigh* I thought it might be valuable when I picked it up, but this weird rock is giving me the creeps. I've gotta hurry and find some sucker to— Hm?

[What's that rock?] Oh! Are you interested in this rock? I found it buried at the construction site. It's a rare rock, so I stole— I mean, I took it as a memento... But if you're interested, I would consider selling it. For you, a special introductory offer of 100 rupees! What do you say?
— Hagie (Tears of the Kingdom) - ↑
[Not for that price!] In that case, how about 80 rupees? That's a one-time-only deal, just for you.

Hey! What are you doing?!

Are you trying to sell random junk for outrageous prices again? Look at that thing—it's basically just a really big piece of flint. I'd call 60— No, 50 rupees a more-than-fair price!
— Ruli (Tears of the Kingdom) - ↑
B-but...I already set an absolutely fair price... And he might have... OK, no need for the stern-wife look.
— Hagie (Tears of the Kingdom)*sigh* Well? What do you say? It's a real deal at just...just 50 rupees...

[I'll pass.] Oh...
— Hagie (Tears of the Kingdom)Of course he isn't going to buy after you insulted him with such a high price! Hudson made this town so that everyone could live here in peace. If you do anything to harm that beautiful vision, you won't get away with it!
— Ruli (Tears of the Kingdom) - ↑
[I'll take it!] Wha— He's actually gonna buy this weird rock I found? It's my lucky day! Th-that's great! You have a good eye, sir! This is definitely a very valuable rock, so you've made a wise purchase! And now, this rock belongs to you. No refunds.
— Hagie (Tears of the Kingdom)I'll place it in the back for whenever you're ready to take it to its new home.
