Royal Guard's Spears are Weapons that are part of the Royal Guard's Series.[4] They were crafted by the Sheikah using Ancient Technology to fight the Great Calamity, and while they have a high attack power, a design flaw left them with low durability.[1] They can be found in the interior of Hyrule Castle as they are intended to be wielded by the Soldiers who previously served as guards. In the Castle, a Royal Guard's Spear can be found hidden in the fireplace in the Dining Hall, and another can be found wielded by a Black Moblin.

If Link speaks to Parcy at Riverside Stable, she will reveal that she wants to find the gear that belonged to the Royal Guards of Hyrule Castle.[5] The Royal Guard's Spear is one of the Weapons Link can bring to her for a reward, which Parcy immediately recognizes.[6] She will be grateful and give Link a Gold Rupee in return.[7][8] Following this exchange, Link can continue to trade Royal Guard's Spears to Parcy for a Topaz, a Ruby, or a Sapphire.[9][10][11]

Royal Guard's Spears are made of metal, and they will therefore attract Lightning during Thunderstorms and conduct Electricity. If Link drops them in Water, they will sink, but they are incapable of burning when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate. They can also be manipulated using the Magnesis Rune on the Sheikah Slate.
