Royal Halberds are spears that were utilized by the Knights of Hyrule who guarded the Throne Room of Hyrule Castle.[1] They were ornately designed by craftsmen on behalf of the Royal Family of Hyrule.[1] In the present, they are used by high-tier variants of Enemies, particularly in the Gerudo Highlands and Tabantha Frontier. They also have a chance to appear in Treasure Chests that spawn after scanning the The Legend of Zelda series Series Link (Link's Awakening) amiibo with the amiibo Rune.

Since they are made of metal, Royal Halberds will conduct Electricity and attract Lightning if they are equipped during a Thunderstorm. They can also be picked up using the Magnesis Rune. They are also unable to burn if they are exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate, and they will sink if they are dropped in Water.

Royal Halberds belong to the Royal Gear equipment archetype, a group of Weapons designed on behalf of the Royal Family of Hyrule.[4]
