In Skyward Sword, Sacred Shields can be bought from the Gear Shop in the Skyloft Bazaar for 500 Rupees after Link has defeated The Imprisoned for the first time. They are immune to Fire, Electricity, and Curses. Although its durability bar is shorter than the other Shields, Sacred Shields has a special ability to recover itself over a period of time. By Upgrading a Sacred Shield, it will turn into a Divine Shield and later, the Goddess Shield. Cursed enemies like the Cursed Bokoblin are especially averse to the Sacred Shield, and brandishing it at them will cause them to retreat without attacking. The symbol on the Sacred Shield resembles a Loftwing talon.
