Sand-Seal Statues are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Locations and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Sand-Seal Statues are realistic statues of Sand Seals. While they are mostly made of stone, the saddles featured on these statues are created out of metal. They are used to mark the Sand-Seal Rental Shop Southeast Booth and the Sand-Seal Rental Shop Northwest Booth on the edges of Gerudo Town.[1] As a result of this, the Statues have been placed on their roofs.

Tears of the Kingdom

The two Sand-Seal Statues over the rental shops have remained. A large Sand-Seal Statue has been added to the Royal Palace's Throne Room, sitting behind Riju's Throne. Its purpose is to block one of the entrances to the Gerudo Shelter, which is exposed during the Sand Shroud.

Trivia

  • In Breath of the Wild, the Gerudo typography on Sand-Seal Statues translates to "Rental."[3]
    • In Creating a Champion, this is depicted as Hylian typography translating to "Sunaza."[4] Since the text is cut off, this was likely meant to be "Sunazarashi," which is the Japanese name for Sand Seals.
