Shai Utoh Shrine
The Shai Utoh Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Halt the Tilt,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.
Entrance to the Shrine
Shai Utoh Shrine is located in a cave behind Lakeside Stable. The entrance to the cave is initially blocked, so Link must clear it using a Remote Bomb or other explosives. As he enters the Ancient Shrine, Link will be greeted by its Monk, Shai Utoh.[2]
Inside Shai Utoh Shrine, Link must use the Stasis Rune to lock the tottering platforms in place, at which point he can Climb up them to the higher levels. It is entirely possible to beat this Trial without using Stasis through clever use of the shield jump, but Link will be unable to retrieve the second Treasure Chest using this method.
The last set of platforms is surmountable in several ways including locking the first in place, running and jumping at the second, and continuing to jump until the platform levels; shield jumping from the first to the second without using stasis; or using the chest found on the second level to hold one of the platforms steady while you keep the other held with stasis. Past these platforms, Link will be able to access the Monk's Pedestal.
When Link approaches Shai Utoh, the Monk will grant him a Spirit Orb as a reward for completing the Trial.[3] Afterwards, Shai Utoh will wish Link well before fading away.[4]
At the second tottering platform, Link can follow the path to the right find a metal Treasure Chest containing a Sword. The Chest itself can be moved using Magnesis unlike many of the other shrine chests, allowing Link to pin the platforms without the use of Stasis. The second Treasure Chest is located directly across and slightly above the Monk's Pedestal. To reach it, Link must launch himself from the second-to-last platform and then Paraglide down. When it is opened, Link will receive an Ancient Core.
