The Shira Gomar Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Aim for Stillness,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild. It is exclusive to The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack.

Entrance to the Shrine

Shira Gomar Shrine is found on Upland Lindor on the Hyrule Ridge, just above the Tanagar Canyon. It is one of three Ancient Shrines accessed as part of the "EX Champion Revali's Song" Main Quest.

To access this Ancient Shrine, Link must wait at the top of Tanagar Canyon at night until the Dragon, Dinraal, arrives, at which point he must shoot at it.[2] Dinraal's horns will begin to glow blue as it passes Upland Lindor, as noted by Mazli.[3] Link must shoot its horns with a Bow and Arrow, which causes Shira Gomar Shrine to rise up from beneath the ground on the south side of the Canyon. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Shira Gomar.[4]

Themes and Navigation

Shira Gomar Shrine consists of several fans and walls of destructible blocks. Past the Elevator Platform are three fans creating Updrafts, which Link can use to Paraglide across the large gap. On the second platform is another fan, but the path to the third platform is blocked by a bombable wall above it. By dropping a Remote Bomb onto the fan, Link can detonate it when it reaches the wall, destroying it in the process. The same result can be obtained by destroying the wall with Bomb Arrows. After the path is cleared, Link is able to Paraglide onto the third platform.

On the third platform is a circular funnel, the end of which leads towards a fan. The Wind from this fan is directed towards a bombable wall. If Link drops his spherical Remote Bomb into the funnel, it will be deposited onto the fan. When the Remote Bomb is near the bombable wall, Link can detonate it. Alternatively, Link can destroy the bombable wall with Bomb Arrows. Following this, he can Paraglide on the Wind to the fourth platform.

The Wind from the fans on the fourth platform is capable of sending Link to the fifth platform. Between the fifth and sixth platforms is a large spinning gear, which features two funnels that deposit their contents onto fans. The path to the sixth platform is blocked by a bombable wall. There is also a Wind Switch between the platforms that drops a portcullis in front of the sixth platform when it is activated. The wall can be detonated by using Stasis on the Wind Switch, which prevents the portcullis from falling. Stasis can also be used on the spinning gear while it is aimed at the sixth platform, which allows the portcullis to raise itself again before the fan moves away. Alternatively, the wall can be destroyed by using Bomb Arrows. Link must then Paraglide on the Wind while the Wind Switch is under the effect of Stasis, allowing him to reach the sixth platform.

From the sixth platform, Link will be able to Paraglide on a series of fans to the Monk's Pedestal. Upon approaching Shira Gomar, the Monk commends Link for overcoming the Trial and rewards him with Medoh's Emblem.[5] If this is the first or second Ancient Shrine that has rewarded Link with this Emblem, the Shira Gomar tells Link he must collect three and states how many remain.[6][7][8] If it is the third Ancient Shrine to reward him with Medoh's Emblem, Shira Gomar will tell him to go to Divine Beast Vah Medoh.[9]

Near the spinning gear is a platform with a Treasure Chest on top of it. Link can access this platform by Paragliding from the Wind of one of the fans. The Chest contains 10 Bomb Arrows.
