Sky Temple is the final Level in Tri Force Heroes.[1] It is the fourth and last Level of the Sky Realm Area, and is preceded by Dragon Citadel.

Themes and Navigation

As with the other Levels in the Sky Realm, the Sky Temple takes place in the sky above the Drablands. It mostly consists of floating islands high above the sky's orange clouds, which are filled with numerous Enemies that the Links must defeat to proceed. This Level differs from most, in that all eight Items encountered during the Links' travels are provided for use here, allowing for many different strategies. The Level also features unique background music that evokes a triumphant finale to the Links' journey. At the very end of the Level is a gorgeous palace where Lady Maud is encountered.

The Woodlands-based island, Stage 1

In Stage 1, the Links begin at a floating platform with a complete assortment of Items: a Gust Jar, a Gripshot, a Magic Hammer, Bombs, a Bow, a Water Rod, Fire Gloves and a Boomerang. The Links must pick three of the eight Items. After making their choice, a translucent, disc-shaped lift appears close by. This lift will transport the Links to a grassy island based on the Woodlands, with a pair of Mini-Margos and Totem Dekus. On a small ledge in the center, a Bomb Flower is provided to defeat the Mini-Margos with. After they are defeated, another lift appears which drops the Links onto an island based on the Riverside, covered in Water with small patches of land at the edges. The Links fight a horde of Water Octoroks, Water Tektites, and a Keeleon. Their defeat creates another lift to an island based on the Ice Cavern, where the Links face Freezards, Ice Wizzrobes, and Terrorpins on an Ice-covered floor. Bomb Flowers are provided at the island's edges to help defeat the Enemies. A final lift then appears which takes the Links to the Triforce Gateway.

The Volcano-based island, Stage 2

In Stage 2, the Links again appear on a floating platform with the eight different Items, which the Links can freely swap their Items for if they choose. A disc-shaped lift drops the Links into an island based on the Volcano, featuring a pit with Lava pools. Here the Links face a horde of Fire Keese, Kodongos, and Sky Spear Soldiers riding Totem Armos statues. The Links are also provided with their own Totem Armos to help defeat the Enemies with. After their defeat, a gate opens to the next platform with a lift. This drops the Links into a Quicksand-filled pit based on The Dunes, with Stalfos, Red Stalfos, four Morths and a Gibdo. After the Stalfos and Gibdo are defeated, another lift appears. The Links are then dropped onto an island based on The Ruins, filled with many Light Ghini and a Sky Fire Chain Soldier wielding a fiery ball and chain. The pit immediately turns pitch dark as soon as they land. The Sky Fire Chain Soldier provides some light, but the Links can also light their way by lighting the Torches with the Fire Gloves. After all Enemies are defeated, the Triforce Gateway appears.

Sky Soldiers arriving, Stage 3

In Stage 3, the Links appear on yet another floating platform containing the eight Items. The islands in this Stage are much more ornate, and connected by grand staircases lined with Green Rupees. When the Links reach the next island, they are intercepted by a group of two Sky Sword Soldiers, two Sky Spear Soldiers, and a Sky Shield Soldier dropped off by a flying bus. Because there are no railings around the island, it is possible to knock them off using the Gust Jar. Their defeat opens a gate to the next island, where two Sky Shield Soldiers, two Sky Bomb Soldier and a Sky Ball and Chain Soldier are flown in. The final staircase leads to the temple entrance where a pair of flying, fire-breathing Super Aeralfos appear. After they are defeated, the gigantic gate opens to the Triforce Gateway, and a Squiddy appears.

Confrontation with Lady Maud, Stage 4

Stage 4 is where the Links finally encounter Lady Maud inside the temple. After ridding the Links of their Items, Lady Maud invites them in to do battle.[2] When the Links proceed to a circular pattern on the ground, a gate suddenly appears around them, and they are elevated into the room where the fight against The Lady takes place.

Drablands Challenges

Once The Lady has been defeated, the Sky Temple can be replayed with the following Drablands Challenges: "Clear within the time limit!", "Clear without any items!", and "Fewer Heart Containers!". Each Challenge features the same configuration of Enemies.

In "Clear within the time limit!", the Links are given a timer of one minute in Multiplayer, or two minutes in single-player. This timer can be increased by collecting Hourglasses or wearing Linebeck's Uniform.

In "Clear without any items!", there are two minor changes to Stage 1: the Woodlands island has two extra Bomb Flowers, and the Stakes are absent from the Riverside island.

Materials

At the end of the Level, three Treasure Chests can be opened. Two contain the same Material, and one contains another, more valuable Material.

Trivia

  • Though it is not mentioned in the Drablands Diary like each of the prior Areas, a bird's nest is hidden in each Level of the Sky Realm. One can be found on a golden pillar in Stage 3 of the Sky Temple, by standing at the east edge of the platform where the second wave of Sky Soldiers are fought, and shifting the camera to the left.
