The Sleeping Chamber is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][name references needed]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Sleeping Chamber is located on the second level of Zora's Domain, behind the stairs leading up to the Throne Room. It has four pools, which many Zora sleep in at night. The Zora do not have individual homes, making the Sleeping Chamber a communal resting space.[2] Many Sneaky River Snails also appear at the edges of the Water, in addition to six Jars that Link can break for supplies.

Two Zora can always be found in the Sleeping Chamber, these being Torfeau and Jiahto. Torfeau practices with her Zora Spear, while Jiahto will be examining the Stone Monument. After "A Wife Washed Away" has been finished, Mei will spend her day swimming in the pool beneath the stairs, though she is bored by this.[3]

Initially, Kapson is also found inside the Sleeping Chamber.[1] Due to his age, he would like one last chance to marry a couple, and so he asks Link to inform him of any engaged couples he encounters.[4] During the "From the Ground Up" Side Quest, Hudson will task Link with finding a priestly Zora.[5] Kapson is interested in this,[6] and he decides to leave Zora's Domain to officiate Rhondson and Hudson's wedding.[7]

In the back of the Sleeping Chamber is the History of the Zora, Part Seven, one of the 10 Stone Monuments scattered throughout the Lanayru Great Spring.[8] As noted by Link, the Monument has been worn down by the passage of time.[9] After completing the "Divine Beast Vah Ruta" Main Quest, Link can speak to Jiahto, who will have a request for him.[10] In an effort to preserve Zora history, he wants Link to read all of the Stone Monuments and recount their contents to him.[11] This begins the "Zora Stone Monuments" Side Quest. Once Link completes the Quest, Jiahto gives him a Diamond as a reward.[12]

Another Side Quest begins after "Divine Beast Vah Ruta" has been completed, this being "The Giant of Ralis Pond". Torfeau asks Link to defeat the Blue Hinox that had taken up residence near Ralis Pond.[13] Once this has been done, she will give him a Silver Rupee as a reward.[14]
