Not to be confused with Slime Eel.

Slime Eyes are a recurring Boss and Sub-Boss in The Legend of Zelda series.[2][3][4]

Characteristics

Link's Awakening

Slime Eye is the Boss of the Key Cavern. It is a large, gelatinous, single-Eyed monster that fends off Link to try and stop him from waking up the Wind Fish. Upon entering the room, it will taunt Link, saying that he cannot find it.[5] Instead of fighting the boss, numerous Green Zols will fall from the ceiling to attack him. Link must use his Pegasus Boots to reveal Slime Eye by ramming the back wall. This will bring down the Boss from its hiding place on the ceiling. Once Slime Eye appears, by using the Pegasus Boots in combination with his Sword, Link must perform a Dash Attack to split the gigantic eye into two. Then, he must slash the individual Slime Eyes until defeated. This gets Link the Sea Lily's Bell.

Echoes of Wisdom

Slime Eye is a Sub-Boss found in the Lanayru Temple. It is a large green blob-like Monster fought in a room with a Hot Spring. It can only be damaged while frozen by Ice-based attacks such as the projectiles of an Ice Wizzrobe or a Freezard's Ice breath. Weak Ice-based attacks may take multiple hits to fully freeze a Slime Eye. When sufficiently damaged, it will split into two smaller Slime Eyes, which must be broken apart in the same way.
