The Stone Slate is an Object in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Location and Uses

The Stone Slate is located near Toto Lake in the Lanayru Great Spring. Following the Upheaval, a cliff beside the Lake crumbled, which revealed the ruins that the Slate is part of.[2] The Slate was inscribed by ancient Zora, and it details how to access the Lanayru Great Spring Sky.[3][4][5]

During the Main Quest "Sidon of the Zora", Sidon suggests that Link consult with Jiahto at Toto Lake to find information pertaining to the Sky Islands.[6] At Toto Lake, Link can find Jiahto attempting to read the contents of the Stone Slate, although its broken state has left it partially illegible.[4] Speaking to Jiahto at this time starts the Main Quest "The Broken Slate". The missing piece of the Stone Slate can be found by washing away nearby piles of Sludge. Using Ultrahand, Link is then able to return the piece to its original location.[7] Doing so allows Jiahto to completely decipher its contents.[5]

Stand upon the land of the sky fish, and behold its lofty view. Among the floating rocks you see, a droplet waits for you.

Through this droplet, shoot an arrow with the mark of the king. Do this task, and you shall reveal a most wondrous thing.

See the watery bridge's resting spot with your own two eyes...that which connects the Zora to the people of the skies.

  6. Say, Link... Does it not seem that Princess Zelda's whereabouts might be related to the floating sky islands and the ruins? If so, perhaps you should go and speak with out historian Jiahto.
