The Stone of Trials is an item in Skyward Sword.[1]

Location and Uses

The Stone of Trials is obtained after completing the fourth and final Silent Realm located in Skyloft.[2] It is one of a pair,[3] and when the two are reunited, the way to the Sky Keep opens beneath the Statue of the Goddess. The identical stone is lodged in an one-eyed bird statue located on Skyloft near the entrance to the Waterfall Cave. When Link inserts the Stone of Trials into the empty eye socket, the bird statue turns around, opening its beak and firing a cannon ball at the Isle of the Goddess. Eventually, the isle begins to shake and the bottom of the island breaks apart, unveiling the Sky Keep. The bird statue then spits out a number of orbs with Clawshot targets which Link can use to reach the Sky Keep. The statue that holds the other Stone of Trials turns 180 degrees at night, rendering it impossible to open the Sky Keep unless it is daytime.
