Ta'loh Naeg
Ta'loh Naeg is a character in Breath of the Wild.[2]
Biography
Ta'loh Naeg is a Sheikah Monk who serves the Goddess Hylia. While alive, they were a great swordsman,[3] the highest-ranking among martial Monks.[4] Following the first Great Calamity and the ostracism of the Sheikah 10,000 years prior to Breath of the Wild, Ta'loh Naeg became a Monk and constructed an Ancient Shrine to help prepare Link against the threat of Calamity Ganon.[5][1]
Following Link's Slumber of Restoration in the Shrine of Resurrection, the Ta'loh Naeg Shrine is activated and can then be entered by someone bearing a Sheikah Slate.[6] When Link enters the Shrine, he is greeted by the Monk and is offered the Shrine's Trial in the name of Hylia.[2] If Link completes the Trial, Ta'loh Naeg praises him and rewards the Hylian Champion with a Spirit Orb.[7] With their role fulfilled, Ta'loh Naeg wishes Link well as their body fades away.[8]
