"Snake/reptile" classification

So... why is this assumed to be a snake or otherwise reptilian enemy? It has no eyes (like a plant/fungus or worm, but very much unlike a snake), and resembles a Piranha Plant in both appearance (big head, big lips and teeth, no eyes, lighter-colored dots on the darker-colored head) and behavior (non-stop biting movement... and also spitting fire and moving around, which is not so much standard Piranha Plant stuff but a lot like the smaller Nipper Plants in SMB3, which also have a very similar "big head, small stalk/body" shape.) It always struck me as a subterranean version of a Piranha Plant with no leaves, maybe almost a "Piranha Mushroom" since the "big head with spots on it + pale colored stalk" thing is common in mushrooms.

Is the Aneru's place in the "reptilian enemies" category just a holdover from a time when it was mistaken for a Rope for some odd reason, or what? FnrrfYgmSchnish (talk) 06:18, 2 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
