It seems that the Minish Cap Four Sword might be the original Master Sword, as it's pre-broken form looked like the blue Master Sword, and early boxart seemed to show it as a golden Master Sword. http://www.kasuto.net/image/minish_cap/minishcap.jpg
The Minish Cap Sword is also missing the eye of Vaati, and instead has a jewel. This might explain why it functions differently - it was cursed by absorbing Vaati, and the blade of evil's bane (remember, TMC Four Sword had evil-bane power that was not seen in later FS games) part would have seperated, as it could not be combined with evil. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00030GS80.01._PE12_.The-Legend-of-Zelda-Minish-Cap._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
- I disagree- that sword may, in fact, be the original Picori Blade, or it may be a stylized version of the Four Sword and not an accurate representation of the sword itself. As seen in this piece of official art from The Minish Cap- which, incidentally, is being used for both the Black Knight and Dark Hyrule Castle articles- the Four Sword actually has that trademark Vaati-esque eye mark on the hilt- and also has the traditional colored-dot pommel from Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures, not the Triforce-mark pommel from the boxart- prior to the sealing of Vaati:

- Interesting, isn't it? We have two conflicting sources- the boxart and the official art from events taking place in the game itself. And also, the FSA Four Sword DID have the power to repel evil- however, it had been depowered through some source (which was never explained, though I'll concede that Vaati MAY have had something to do with it), necessitating the Force Gem collection angle to restore it. - While the eye appears in official art, it does not appear in the game or on the boxart. I would say that this official art (Where exactly is it made available, anyway) has the least "authority" in this case. While the Master Sword theory bit is kind of farfetched, it should still be mentioned that the eye wasn't there while we had the blade in TMC.KrytenKoro 22:49, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
Could the Four Sword be the Magical sword?

I doubt it. The Magical Sword and the Four Sword have no similar properties (except for battling evil, but every final sword in Zelda has that), and they don't look similar. Darqlink51 13:32, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
actually they do share one quality that I noticed...the way the sword's sides have two points sticking out near the hilt..and the hilt continues into the middle of the blade for a short distance....hope i said that right --Remo 18:34, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Order of the games
Shouldn't the games in this article go in order of their placement in the timeline, that being The Minish Cap, Four Swords, then Four Swords Adventures? The Four Sword has a clearly defined history that spans three canon games that we know the progression between, and its origins are also clearly detailed in The Minish Cap, yet this article starts to go into detail about its origin story - the Picori giving it to the Hero of Men - but then just jumps into its first appearance from a developmental standpoint in Four Swords. - What about the Master Sword's article? That one merges the sword's history and appearances together, and goes in order of games in the timeline, not when they were released. I'm only saying, it seems a bit outdated to go into so much detail about the sword, especially with the mention of the Picori Festival, and then to transition into talking about one of the last games, chronologically, that it appeared in.
