Identity
In keeping with the "OoT was the First Zelda Adventure" theory, what I thought was that the Wizard was just "a" wizard, that happened to burn out his own life and put "a" Zelda into apparent stasis (it's not like Ganon to Kamakaze so carelessly), and all the princesses everafter were named Zelda; this Zelda was the first Zelda ever, Ganondorf and Link first exist in OoT, (then Past, Wind Waker/Twilight, ect), then the 1st game, followed immediatley by this game where Ganon's followers try to revive him, making Zelda II the latest-set game in the franchise... how exactly this Zelda survived everything that happened in between... ok, I admit that's a bit of a stretch--- but it would make a good twist, the first Zelda being the oldest and 'last'. Well, this Zelda existed before the OoT timeline split, so she exists in BOTH timelines. Obviously, in better condition not at the bottom of the ocean of the WW-inclusive timeline.--Xu-kitty 03:55, 10 September 2010 (EDT)

I may be wrong, but it seemed to me that in this Wiki we usually tend to keep things neutral, and only cite the most probable and believed theories about things such as the timeline, right? How is it that this article has such unprobable and unheard-before theories like that the Magician turned into Dark Link???? - I think it relates to the way the Magician seems to be part of the Prince’s shadow in the artwork of the latter brandishing a whip at her shortly before the spell is cast. But you are probably right, it should be removed, or at least the highly speculative stuff about Ganon and Link as equal opposites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ALegendGuy 04:19, 3 July 2011 (EDT)
- In the manual, it is stated that the guardians (ie. bosses of the palaces) were made by the king, and he specifically stated the last one guards the Triforce. In order to reach this last guardian, Link must defeat the other guardians first and place the six crystals in the statues' heads so he can undo the "binding force" on the Great Palace. Furthermore, the crystals were in Impa's possession, not in the statues' heads, so no one could have entered the Great Palace after the "binding force" was set up. I think it's safe to conclude that:
- 1. The sole purpose of Dark Link is to guard the Triforce, so he would have always known its location
- 2. Dark Link was in the Great Palace before the "binding force" was set up (while the king was still alive) and never left it
