Name

I beleive the proper name for this boss is Medelock, but i can't find proof enough for either name. if anyone knows for sure one way or the other, please help. and if it is Medelock, this page name needs to be changed. --gambit8585

I had a bit of a ridiculous zelda over obsession period in my life and decided to get these little choose your own ending books for OoA and OoS, and, I just checked, both have the offical nintendo product seal on them... The OoS book calls the enemy Medusa Head, but take that for meaning what you will... The books imho were not written very well, but they did remain more or less accurate to the games.--Magnus orion 22:30, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
I've seen this boss called Medelock in the Oracle of Seasons Manga, although I'm pretty sure that the manga isn't canon. We should probably at least mention that this boss is also known as Medelock. --Planetbox 22:41, 9 June 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Would that be the official English version of the manga published by Vizkids, or just a fan translation of the original Japanese one? Because Medelock is a direct translation of its Japanese name. — Hylian King [*] 22:02, 10 June 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Gleeok

According to Bosses in Oracle of Seasons "Gleeok" is the name of the previous dungeon boss. Yet this page says for Medusa Head "There are two strategies Link can use to defeat Gleeok, which include:". Gomess 512 11:30, 21 March 2011 (EDT)

You are absolutely correct. I guess one of our editors was too busy to notice the mistake he made. :P Anyway, thanks for pointing that out, and don't hesitate to edit things like this on your own. — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  14:34, 21 March 2011 (EDT)

Japanese name origin

I know the English name is an obvious reference to Medusa from Greek Mythology, but can anyone tell me what the origin for her Japanese/French name, "Medelock", is supposed to be? Otness e (talk) 04:10, 1 July 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
