"ancient battles" link to OoT

I think the link to "ancient battles" should point to the Era of Chaos and/or the Imprisoning War. The 2nd painting talks about the war fought for the Triforce (which according to the Hyrule Historia happens during the Era of Chaos) and how the royalty ordered the Seven Sages to seal the Triforce in the Sacred Realm. So far from what we know, the 7 Sages sealing the Triforce happened when they sealed Ganon & the remainder of his monsters in the Golden Land/Sacred Realm **along with the Triforce** during the Imprisoning War that is in the backstory of A Link to the Past. But I think this is Nintendo's first clue to us that when the Triforce was sealed at the end of the Era of Chaos, it was sealed by 7 Sages (similarly as during the Imprisoning War) and not just by Rauru who up until A Link Between Worlds was the only one whose name was associated with the sealing of the Triforce in that era.

But neither the Era of Chaos nor the Imprisoning War happen during the events of Ocarina of Time. And even what the 3rd painting says about Ganon tells the story of Ganondorf taking the Triforce & turning himself into Ganon as it was told in the backstory of A Link to the Past (not as it happened in OoT) where he acquired the Triforce, then transformed himself & finally took his campaign to Hyrule (in the form of his monsters leaving the Dark World & attacking Hyrule during the Imprisoning War).

I checked all 5 paintings & haven't been able to find any mention of the events (i.e. regarding the ancient battles link) as they happened in Ocarina of Time where Ganondorf first broke into the Sacred Realm, then took the Triforce of Power only, then took his evil campaign back to Hyrule, then acquired the rest of the Triforce by killing Link & taking Zelda's piece (as per the Hyrule Historia) and then transformed into Ganon. Even if you reorder those events to match the order the paintings mention them in, they still didn't happen in OoT but only talked about in the Hyrule Historia.

So based on this, I don't think any links on this page should point to Ocarina of Time, but rather the war during the era of chaos (for the 2nd painting) or the Imprisoning War (which the 3rd painting clearly talks about). My opinion is that only the era of chaos should be linked if the current link for "ancient battles" was intended for the content of the 2nd painting. Wtc4ever (talk) 20:01, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
