Species of Schule and Sale?

I have an issue with the species of Schule and Sale. Is there any proof of they are actually alligators? The sprite of Schule shows that one of his teeth goes "upwards". This is only the case for crocodiles, but not alligators! ( http://www.britannica.com/animal/alligator/images-videos/Illustration-comparing-an-alligator-and-a-crocodile/110978) And if Schule is a crocodile, then his brother must be a crocodile too. The fact is, there really is no way of officially proving whether they are alligators or crocodiles, since no official material ever states what kind of animal they are exactly. I suppose going by that, you could say that Schule is a crocodile, however if you look at Sale's sprite you can see that the teeth go downwards, so there's really no consistency here. - Midoro (T C) 03:38, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, the sprites have a very small resolution, so only 2 teeth are depicted. So I don't think that the sprite of Sale proves that he is an alligator, because the "upwards" teeth are probably hidden due to the small resolution. But the existence of the "upwards" tooth of Schule shows that he is a crocodile (or an alligator with a serious dental problem xD). Please tell me what you think. I personally think it could be changed. --Blackdrake (talk) 17:58, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
When Sale opens his mouth to eat the dog food, he has only one tooth pointing upward. Either way, this is kind of pointless to argue, because at the end of the day, there is no genuine way of proving whether they are alligators or crocodiles. I'm pretty sure while drawing their sprites, the graphic artists were just "whatever" with it and didn't give it much more thought. And why should they, they're cartoon animals anyway. I think we can just agree that they're both of the Crocodilia order, which also includes other extremely similar reptiles. - Midoro (T C) 20:32, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

French Name of Schule?

I am currently comparing the different text dumps of the available languages: http://www.zeldalegends.net/index.php?p=123

This is the text dump known from the English version:

Ya, I am Schule Donavitch! Zee mermaid statue by zee bay iz my masterpiece! ... To tell you zee truth, zis werk iz not complete! Zee art, it'z... difficult for you to grasp, iz it not?
THE MOURNING MERMAID By SCHULE ? ...A scale is missing...

And this is the text dump from the French version:

Ya, je zuis Sven Donavitch! La ztatue de la zirène près de la baie est mon chef-d'oeuvre inachevé... L'art... Z'est dur, hein?
LA PETITE SIRENE Par ALLIGODALI ?... Il manque une écaille...?

So, when you talk to him, he says that his name is Sven Donavitch, but the mermaid statue has the signature Alligodali. This is a bit confusing. Either the translators did a mistake, or Alligodali is his artist name (which is more likely). So should his name be extended like this: Sven "Alligodali" Donavitch ?

Both names would be added to the name template with a footnote, and not combined. - Midoro (T C) 23:30, 15 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
