So far it looks like it is going to be an exact replica of the original. (See Ocarina of Time for more info.) There have been many posts on zeldadungeon.net[1] so check there daily for updates on the release date and other things like that. The only changed features seem to be better (3D) graphics, a different menu screen that is shown on the bottom screen, and a higher price LOL. Even though these are very critical comments, this is one of the most anticipated games for the 3DS and everyone should buy it if they get a chance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stinky (talk) 01:28, 2 March 2011

June Release

I know that at GDC Iwata said to was going to be released sometime in June, I think? Anyway, should we put that in for a release date or has something else come up? User:Smashbrother101/sig 13:29, 6 March 2011 (EST)

Good catch. I put the change in the article, with a reference attached in case anyone tries to dispute it. User:Cipriano555/sig 15:27, 6 March 2011 (EST)
Why thank you. I jut wanted to run it by before anybody made the change. Thank you very much. User:Smashbrother101/sig 15:33, 6 March 2011 (EST)
You guys. Honestly I cannot wait for the 3DS version of this game to come out. This was the primary reason as to why I purchased the Nintendo 3DS. The only game I bought for it was Super Street Fighter. I'm not even good at fighting games. I think I might j*zz in my pants the moment I buy this game. I might just frame the receipt from my video game store. Matthew@legacy41961666 17:25, 9 May 2011 (EDT)

Anyone got this one uploaded already [2]?

Scarecrow's Song

In all versions of the game ever, when you play the Scarecrow's Song that you play for Bonooru, the game tells you "You played the Scarecrow's Song!" and plays it back for you. BUT, in all versions (including this one, just tested), Pierre will not appear unless you have played the song back for Bonooru as an adult (and are currently an adult yourself). Nothing changed on this front. --HeroicJay 03:10, 29 June 2011 (EDT)

Phony "Change"?

In the Items section of Other Changes, it lists this:

However, I'm pretty certain this isn't correct (at least in the North American version). I've recently played through that area of the game myself, and I know for a fact that I got Skull and then Spooky like in the original, especially given some multilingual name runs that I did (and may be put up at a later date, probably after I complete Dodongo's Cavern), I loaded with Keaton as my in-inventory mask, sold it, returned to the shop, and picked up Skull. I don't know where this alleged "Spooky before Skull in OoT3D" order came up, but I doubt there's any truth to where it came from...--Shiningpikablu252 02:31, 17 January 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

That's 100% untrue. I've played OoT3D and it's the exact same. Keaton Mask->Skull Mask->Spooky Mask->Bunny Mask. Thanks for the heads-up, Pikablu!User:Justin ZW/sig 02:36, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Rating(s)

  • "ELSPA: 3+" -- ELSPA stopped video game ratings in 2003 and OoT3DS was released in 2011, thus this can only be a rating of OoT (N64) and not of OoT3DS. Should it still be in here?
  • "OFLC (New Zealand): G8+" -- Accourding to en.wp (OFLC(NZ), ACB) this is not an OFLC (NZ) rating, but a rating of the OFLC (AU). So is there an error here at zeldawiki? If there, then it should be the same as with ELSPA above: G8+ should be an old OFLC rating for OoT and not for OoT3DS, thus: Should it still be in here?

The ELSPA rating definitely doesn't belong, so I went ahead and removed that. I also removed the OFLC rating until we find the actual NZ rating (if there is one). Good catch!
A lot of other game pages list an OFLC rating of 8+. The thing is, most of these pages also have a separate ACB rating listed sooo I'm kind of at a loss as to what's going on here. :/ — Hylian King [*] 00:39, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
E.g. OoT should have an OFLC(AU) rating of G8+ for the N64 version as it can be seen/guessed on the "Australian box art". The ACB rating might come from a later version (e.g. from a NGC game or some VC thing) or maybe the ACB overtook OFLC(AU) ratings in any way (like G to G, G8+ to PG, M15+ to M).
OFLC(NZ) has a search system (like e.g. PEGI and USK have one too): http://www.censorship.govt.nz/DDA/Pages/Screens/DDA/DecisionSearchCriteriaPage.aspx . Searching for "Command & Conquer" one e.g. gets "Command & Conquer Red Alert -- Unrestricted M Game". Searching for Zelda one only gets "Killing Zelda Sparks" and searching for "The Legend of Zelda" one only gets "Sorry, no publications match your search criteria.". So the database is incomplete or OFLC(NZ) hasn't rated Zelda. In http://www.censorship.govt.nz/PDFs/research-young-peoples-use-of-entertainment-mediums-2006.pdf it reads: "The Legend of Zelda (G)" and "Unrestricted games do not have to be classified and labelled in New Zealand. Where a game has not been classified in New Zealand, its Australian classification is indicated in italics.". Thus it looks/seems like Zelda games are unrated by OFLC(NZ) and thus maybe here in Zeldawiki all OFLC ratings are in fact OFLC(AU) ratings. -Bernd 15:25, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
In that case perhaps we should just refer to them all as ACB ratings to avoid confusion. That might be more specific and accurate anyway, since it seems the Australian OFLC was only the ACB's parent agency for a decade or so. They're still technically ACB ratings all the way through. — Hylian King [*] 22:58, 26 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

nintendo.tw/zelda/ should be for Taiwan (Republic of China), and mentions a release date of 27 October 2012, the Chinese name "塞尔达传说 时光之笛 3D" and a rating of "6+ - 保護級", which comes from "遊戲軟體分級管理辦法" / "Game Software Rating Management Regulations" (their old organisation was shortly known as CSRR). History & ratings from that rating organisation: gamerating. -Bernd 10:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ocarina of Time Game breaking Glitch

I just found a TERRIBLE glitch in Ocarina of Time 3D!

For some annoying reason, the letter you need to talk to Big Brother with is gone! It happened after I gave a mask to the guard in that Death Mountain city place (I forgot the name. It was just gone after that!!! Now, I can't talk to Big Brother so, I have 2 options: I can quit that game(which I really don't want to do) or I can start the game over (which I also don't want to do because the "Inside the Deku Tree" dungeon is really hard).

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ocarina of fart (talk) 15:17, January 25, 2015‎

The letter is not necessary to talk to Big Brother, it was only necessary to open the path to Death Mountain, so don't worry that the letter has disappeared. You still won't be able to talk to Darunia just yet, but the letter has nothing to do with it. :) On another note, Zelda Wiki isn't really the place to ask for help on Zelda games, since it's really more to talk about improving or editing articles. If you wish to ask for help or discuss with other Zelda fans about the games, I recommend joining a Zelda forum, such as Zelda Universe. :) Good luck! --Dany36 (talk) 21:36, 25 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
