"Geld" and "Gerudo"
Is Vitreous' Japanese name a double reference? The Geld being a reference to both "Gerudo" and "gel" for its gelatinous nature as this seems to imply in connection to Digdogger? Maybe that was the call the name change? The only sensible alternatives to calling him "Gelddogger," being to drop one 'd' or go all the way and fully change the name. - While possible, Vitreous has no real connection to the desert (which is what "gerudo" refers to, see Geldman and Geldarms) aside from the fact that Misery Mire is the counterpart of the Desert Palace. However, it is a slime-based enemy in a dungeon that also contains a number of Zols, so in this case Gel seems to be primarily a reference to those enemies, I would assume. Unless they wished to connect it to Geldman and Geldarms for some reason, I don't see the name as a reference to Gerudo, as the Gerudo did not exist in the continuity at that point.
