The Curious Quiver,[1][2] also known as the General Shop,[3] is a location in Breath of the Wild.

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Curious Quiver is a General Store located by the southwestern entrance of Kakariko Village. It is run by Rola, primarily selling Arrows and Fire Arrows. Several Jars can be found at the building's rear.

When Link enters The Curious Quiver, Rola will greet him.[4] The first time he speaks to her, she remarks that it has been some time since the Store received a new customer, since not many of the younger residents of Kakariko Village use Bows.[5] As a result, she is happy that Link is visiting, and she encourages him to browse her wares.[6] On subsequent visits, Rola tells Link to grab any Item he wants to buy, but she also offers to make a purchase from Link.[7] At the end of their conversations, Rola will be disappointed that he is leaving The Curious Quiver.[8]

If Link buys Arrows from The Curious Quiver, Rola will thank him,[9] compliment his choice of product,[10] and invite him to come back.[11] When Link buys the entire stock of one type of Arrow, she comments that he is eager and promises to make more soon.[12] After buying all of the Arrows in the Store, Rola will apologize to Link for being out of stock, though she still offers to buy Items off of him.[13] At the end of their conversation, Rola deduces that Link must be a prolific archer due to how many Arrows he needs.[14] She compares him to her estranged husband Cado, who used to be the best archer among the Sheikah, but she eventually realizes she is rambling.[15]

The "Arrows of Burning Heat" Side Quest can be initiated at The Curious Quiver. When Link speaks to Rola for a second time, she states that she knew he would be good with a Bow, and she asks if he could demonstrate something for her with it.[16] If Link agrees, Rola asks him to light the stationary Torches around Kakariko Village's Goddess Statue.[17] After Link confirms he will do it, Rola will be excited, and the Side Quest will begin.[18]

After Link lights the Torches, he must return to The Curious Quiver to tell Rola.[19] Once he speaks to her, she reveals that she saw what he did and is impressed.[20] Since she is so excited, she gives Link a Red Rupee as a reward.[21] This completes the Side Quest.
