Overview

Princess Zelda can encounter Basa in Goron City, who is eager to work on Fireworks.[2][3] He introduces himself to Zelda and explains his passion for Fireworks.[4] He reveals that he is going to display a new design at a celebration for the Goron Chief Darston, but he has no inspiration currently.[5] Basa is especially anxious because he made a promise to Darston about its quality.[6][7] He is also out of Blastpowder Soil, and he cannot gather more while developing his new Firework.[8] When Zelda asks, Basa states that it can be found high up on Eldin Volcano, and golden Flowers typically grow from it.[9] Afterwards, "The Fireworks Artist" will begin.

Golden Flowers can be found growing outside of the Rock-Roast Quarry, and it is from this location that Zelda can obtain Blastpowder Soil.[10] Upon returning to Basa, he is able to smell the Soil that she is carrying, and he asks if she is going to give it to him.[11] Basa is touched by Zelda's kindness, which allows him to come up with a new idea for Fireworks.[12] By adjusting the amount of Blastpowder Soil he uses, he can create different colors.[13] He believes that this is a suitable way to celebrate Darston as the new Goron Chief.[14][15] He then proceeds to set up his Firework show.[16]

Basa places three Firework launchers on Eldin Volcano, and he offers Zelda a front-row seat for her help.[17] He then sets off the Fireworks,[18] which begin flying into the sky. Several Gorons, including Darston, comment on and enjoy the display.[19] Back in Goron City, Basa is pleased that Darston and the others were happy with his Fireworks.[20][21] To reward Zelda for her help, he gives her a Purple Rupee.[22] He realizes that he should not make promises he cannot keep, and he decides he should be honest whenever he is in trouble.[23] Following this, "The Fireworks Artist" will be completed.
