The Legend of Zelda Gaiden: Kwōku and the Fairy QueenThis name is derived from Japanese text. is a one-shot manga story based on The Legend of Zelda series. It was drawn and written by Toshihiro Ono and was published in the February 1992 issue of the Japanese magazine Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic Special.[1] As a bi-monthly publication, Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic Special's cover date is always ahead of the actual release date. As such, this issue would have been released late December 1991. It has never been reprinted.
Overview
This manga is a single chapter story, created to promote A Link to the Past, which had recently been released in Japan. The story is wholly original, written as a side story (Gaiden) to the plot of A Link to the Past. It was Toshihiro Ono's first professionally published manga.[2]
