"The Yiga Clan Attacks!" is the fifth Scenario of Chapter 2 and seventh overall in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.[1]

Overview

The Divine Beast Pilot and Link escort Zelda through the Hyrule Outpost alongside some Soldiers. Mipha asks Daruk if they can train together, mentioning she wants to better defend people important to her, to which she shifts her gaze towards Link. Daruk is glad to invite Mipha along, but as they finish talking, Sooga and some Yiga Footsoldiers appear. Sooga sarcastically remarks that he brings news about Zelda's impending demise, prompting both Link and Zelda run to safety while the Divine Beast Pilot fend off against the attacking Yiga Clan.

The Divine Beast Pilot successfully defeat the Yiga Footsoldiers and Yiga Blademasters, numerous Bokoblins and Moblins attack the Hyrule Outpost from both the east and the west. After fighting off the monsters, Mipha takes note of the sudden increase in hostiles and suggests that someone should go to the Garrison to call for backup.

After travelling north to the Hyrule Garrison, Mipha spots two Moblins in a battle against the Hylian Captains stationed there. Intervening and eliminating the monsters, a Soldier reports that the enemy's Outpost was spotted to the north, prompting Urbosa to suggest a pincer attack from the east and west to surround the enemies, suspecting that is where the Yiga Clan is located.

Successfully taking out various Outposts and defeating Moblins and Yiga Blademasters, the Divine Beast Pilot arrive at the enemy's main Outpost, only to find that there was a Hinox. Despite not finding the instigator of the attack, the pilots feared that the Hinox would attack the Hyrule Outpost and decided to battle it.

Having defeated the Hinox, the Yiga Clan was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, fire breaks out back at the Hyrule Outpost as Zelda is left only with Link to defend her. While the Divine Beast Pilot rush back to Zelda's location, Link faces off against Sooga and Yiga Footsoldiers attempting to kill Zelda.

After Link and Zelda fight off Sooga, Link pursues Sooga through the Hyrule Outpost, only for him to disappear. Reappearing midair, Sooga attempts to attack Zelda with a few projectiles, prompting the Diminutive Guardian to jump in front of Zelda in order to block the attacks. Without warning, Link jumps in front of the two and blocks the projectiles with his shield, holding a defensive position while facing Sooga. Seeing that the attack was not successful, Sooga orders the Yiga Clan to retreat, shortly before the Divine Beast Pilot return.

As Mipha and Daruk return, Zelda silently nods at Link, only to be interrupted by the Diminutive Guardian frantically whistling at Link and jumping provocatively while pointing towards Zelda.
