The Tokay Cave is a location in Oracle of Ages.[1]

Features and Overview

The entrance to Tokay Cave is located on Crescent Island, through the Tokay idol that serves also serves as the entrance to the Moonlit Grotto in the present. The Cave is opened by placing the Tokay Eyeball in the idol's empty eye socket, which Link can obtain by giving Cap'n the Zora Scale.[2]

When Link enters the Cave, a mysterious voice will sound, requesting that he display his power, wisdom, and courage.[3] Link then makes his way through three trials. He first must complete a combat test with Gibdos, to show his power. Next is a maze of Rocks he must complete while being pursued by a Chaser and Blade Traps, to show his courage. Finally, he has to make his way through an invisible floating maze using Blocks from the Cane of Somaria, to show his wisdom.

After besting the Cave's trials, Link goes through an area with Ladders and pools of Water before exiting through an underwater cave opening. He finds himself in the Sea of No Return, and can access the Ancient Tomb by traversing yet another maze.
