Traveler's Saddles are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

The Traveler's Saddle is a type of Saddle and Horse Gear. It can be obtained from a pair of Treasure Chests that appear when the Link (Rider) amiibo is scanned with the amiibo Basic Rune. One of the Treasure Chests will contain the Traveler's Saddle, while the other Chest will contain the Traveler's Bridle.

Once obtained, the Traveler's Saddle will appear in Link's Key Item Inventory. Link can equip it to any Horse he has a maximum Bond with by talking to specific workers at Highland Stable, Outskirt Stable, South Akkala Stable, or Woodland Stable.[3] However, like other Saddles, they cannot be used by Epona or the Giant Horse.[4][5] Traveler's Saddles were designed for comfort and hold strong throughout all sorts of Weather, which has lead to them being favored by travelers.[1]

In his Recovered Memories, Link is shown to have a Traveler's Bridle and Traveler's Saddle equipped to his Horse before the second Great Calamity.

  4. Hello there! That's a mighty find horse you have. If you like, I can change out her gear or maybe... Oh? Actually, this horse is different from any I've ever seen before. My, she's so lovely and graceful... I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure this little lady would absolutely hate it if you changed her mane or gear. I'm so sorry about that. — Canni (Breath of the Wild)

I'm sorry, but I don't think I have any gear that'd fit such a large horse, and I bet it wouldn't like its mane handled... I'm so sorry about that. — Canni (Breath of the Wild)
