About Me
In the 17 years that I have existed on this earth, I really haven't done much. I really like playing with LEGOs, its fun just to sit down and build things. I'm a big Nintendo fan. I waited outside for the launch of the Wii (I also plan on doing this for the DSi too, thank the goddesses it will be warmer!). Of course my favorite Nintendo series is Zelda. I also like Mario and Pokemon too. My very first system was the N64 and my first game was Pokemon Snap (a true classic). I really like Smash Bros. my top characters are Mr G&W, Toon Link, and Marth. I own a mac. Its really nice and a lot better than a PC!!!
Zelda and Me
The Legend of Zelda
I never really played this until 2003-2004ish when I got Collector's Edition. Since then I bought it on GBA and VC. It wasn't until Summer 2008 that I actually beat it. Its kind of funny really. I tried really hard on my GBA version for a couple weeks but I was only able to make it to Death Mountain and then I got insanely lost. But then last summer i started up a brand new file on the VC version and beat it in about 4 and half hours.
Adventure of Link
Like tLoZ I didn't play this until I got Collector's Edition. I still haven't been able to beat it. The farthest I got was Maze Island. I'd have to say this is my least favorite (canonical) Zelda game. Its just a little too different from the then still developing formula.
A Link to the Past
I got the Alttp+FS for Christmas from my brother. It took me a while to get a hang of this game ( I died 52 times in the palace of Darkness alone), but this has ended up being one of my favorite Zelda titles.
Link's Awakening
This was the first Zelda game I ever played. Of course I was only like 5 when I rented it from Blockbuster so I only remember the fact that I did play it. In 2004 I decided to buy a used copy of it. I beat it and then I entered "glitch dungeon." Well that basically killed it so I went out and bought a new one. A few months later i went out and bought Link's Awakening DX. So I now own three copies of one game on one system. I obviously enjoyed this game.
Ocarina of Time
This was the first Zelda game that I owned. I absolutely love it. I'm really impressed that the latest time I played it I found an area of the Fire Temple that I never knew existed. I also have Master Quest and I personally thought a majority of the dungeons were easier than the original, but it is a nice change of pace.
Majora's Mask
This game is awesome. The going back in time really makes this one of my favorites. I like it because I can beat a dungeon and be able to go back in time and basically everything is reset. It nice to be able to go back and do it over just for fun, some thing you can do only in a few games.
Oracles
These too are my favorites. I've always looked at them as one game. I don't think I've ever played them not linked. While LA and OoT were my first Zelda games I played, the Oracles were really what got me hooked. I personally think that the gimmicks (changing seasons and time travel) are some of the best used. I also liked the whole thing with Ganon/Twinrova being behind it all in the end. I really hope Onox and Veran get to be in the spotlight again someday...
Four Swords
I thought that this multiplayer Zelda game was well made. I've beaten it with Silver, Gold, and Hero's Keys. I've also managed to get about 20 Courage Medallions.
The Wind Waker
This is one of my favorite 3D games. I really like the Cel-Shaded graphics. I've become a big fan of the more stylized games like this and Ōkami.
Four Swords Adventures
This ones so-so. In some ways I miss an overworld but at the same time its nice just to pick it up and play from any part of the story. The fact that its multiplayers pretty cool, I don't have to be completely emo all by myself.
Oh yeah, I iZ TotALY AWrSoME @ TEH ShAdoW BaTTLeS!1!!1!!1 i Iz LiEK TOtaL OwnAGE!1!!1!
The Minish Cap
Another great Zelda game by Capcom. I really hope to see some of their work on the DS. Ezlo is my favorite partner next to Midna.
Twilight Princess
Another great game. This is the reason why I waited in the cold to get a Wii. I have both the GameCube and Wii Versions. I don't really have an opinion on which one is best. The fact that Link is left handed and some of the controls make me lean towards Gamecube, but at the same time the aiming in Twilight Princess is great. I don't know what it was but Twilight Princess was missing something.... but its still a great game!
Phantom Hourglass
I loved this one! A little short, but the use of the touch screen and Mic really made up for that. I would love to see a longer game come out of the same engine
Link's Crossbow training
This game is okay. I really wish it was a full fledged game like what was originally planned. But for $20 its okay.
Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland
I was soooo lucky that my Aunt went on vacation to Italy the week of FPTRR's release. I ended up paying about twice the price of what I'd pay for a local game but it was the only way I could get it. I'm actually surprised at how long the game was, and the Rupee health system was pretty interesting. I plan on playing through it again this summer and I'll probable start updating the Wiki with stuff about it.
My name comes from the third boss of Tingle's Rosey Rupeeland, Bana Bana
Other Stuff
I have the 1980's Zelda Cartons on DVD, they're actually not that horrible. Pretty corny, but 10000 times better than what I've seen of the CD-i's. I'm only missing 6 of the Twilight Princess trading cards. I have this habit of buying strategy guides after I beat the game. I mainly look at the artwork and see the locations of the Heart Pieces and such.
