Hey, just so you know, I've responded to your concerns here. Hopefully this will be to everyone's satisfaction.

Take care. =) Kurtis (talk) 13:26, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Edit Conflicts

Hey there. Bit random of a question, but given that it's happened at least twice, would you happen to be noticing that I'm working on a page in the Recent Changes and adding in an edit of your own? No worries if you are, but doing so while another editor is working on the page prevents them from adding in their own edit, like my contribution to the Game Room page, potentially risking the loss of all of their work. Again, no worries if that's what you're doing, but it's better to wait until that user is done editing that page to provide a contribution of your own. :P - TonyT S C 01:46, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sorry. I had no idea you were working on the page, I was just looking at the stubs and added a tiny bit to the page... Oops. Sorry. —Darkness(Talk) 01:48, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh, then my apologies. D: - TonyT S C 01:51, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Bit of a small comment, but what was the first time? I did that twice? It seems pretty random that I edit a page at the exact same time that you were... —Darkness(Talk) 01:53, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It happened on the Rickety Coaster page earlier this month, actually. That's why I was wondering. - TonyT S C 02:04, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm Confused.

First off, yes, it does not matter how old i am. Second, I'm not really who you would call....a....well...good person on wikis. I don't really understand much about them and I can't find any articles that need improvement, and the only thing i see that needs to be done is the bosses in The Legend Of Zelda: Battle Quest. And i can't make the page because 1:I have only seen the bosses and have no good pics, 2:I don't know the names, and 3: Because I don't know how to make a page. Have a Nice day! or night! :DJigglypuff123 03:04, 24 December 2012 (UTC)JigglyPuff123Reply[reply]

Hello! First off, you can create a page by typing in the title of the page in the search bar. If no results come up, there should be a red link that says "Create the page "Bosses in the Legend of Zelda:Battle Quest" on this wiki!". You can click on it and start editing the page. I'd tag the new article with {{Stub}}. Also, check out the standard layout of Boss pages here.

Actually, I would not create the page just yet, please make sure to see what other editors have to say about whether we need the page. The staff is helpful, too.

Also, there are plenty of articles that need improvement. You can look for articles in these categories:

This is my 1st wiki and I've only been editing for a couple of weeks. However, it's OK with me if you come to me if you have any questions, I'll hopefully be able to answer them. :D —Darkness(Talk) 15:27, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Confused......again

Sorry Darkness, but i get confused rather easily D: but i have a problem. I'm afraid if a acidently..well..you know, like put wrong information,I'll get blocked. And i'm afraid if I make a page, i'll screw it up completely. Can you help me?Jigglypuff123 16:42, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Jigglypuff123Reply[reply]

Hello! First off, I wouldn't enter info unless you are pretty sure it's true. But, on this Wiki, I'm pretty sure if you make real edits and don't act like a spammer, which it's pretty clear you aren't, you won't get blocked without an admin telling you. As you saw, you accidentally made a semi-vandalism edit and Justin came to your talk page and asked why. We won't randomly block you :D. Also, you can make only grammar/spelling edits and you'll still be helpful. Remember, every tiny edit makes a huge difference!
And I suggest not making any pages until you have info to put in them. I've only made two pages; this one and this one. I'm pretty sure one of them wasn't needed. It might be a good idea to check out with the staff before making a page. Hope I helped! :)
Finally, the Help Guide will answer most of your questions. You can also post them in the Milk Bar if you don't find the answer you're looking for. And you can also post questions on the staff's talk pages and also mine, as you've been doing.
I guess that wasn't final, because, (finally :D) it's okay for you to create a page titled "User:Jigglypuff123/Sandbox" and add editing experiments or a page you want to create but need more info, because other editors may come and add what they know, too. Mine is completely full! Also, you can also add stuff to your userpage. That's where you can post jokes and stories and information about you and... —Darkness(Talk) 18:58, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Just a note about manga images...

I have in my possession very crisp scans of almost all of the Japanese mangas, so I can pretty much just grab a picture of anything just like that. I don't know if you are scanning anything yourself, or taking images from scans you have found, or from a fan translation, but if you need anything specific you can just ask me. I can get slightly better quality images, although they are in Japanese. But in some ways that is better, we may get in trouble with publishers if we have too many images showing their translations on here (this is why some manga scans have text removed). And fan translations are a bit... wonky. So yeah, if there is anything you need I can get very crisp scans on the wiki pretty quick. Fizzle (talk) 21:51, 5 January 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Does that mean I'm not allowed to scan manga images? I do the scans myself, and I can easily remove the text. I own all of the translated Zelda manga except for Phantom Hourglass. I personally don't see any huge quality difference between our scans, but I'm not very good at distinguishing image quality between images. If you like, I can stop uploading images. The wiki needs more manga scans for some of the pages, and as I've been rewriting some of the manga pages, I usually just grab my copies of the manga (the ones published by Viz Kids) and scan them using our printer. I'm a new user and I'm not totally sure about copyright status, publisher translations, etc. about manga scans. Sorry if I'm doing anything wrong... —Darkness(Talk) 22:13, 5 January 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You're not doing anything wrong, and to be honest I'm not entirely sure of the details. I'm sure it's fine. Basically what I'm saying is that you don't have to scan things because I can probably get it for you easier and at a crisp quality, so I'm trying to save you the trouble more than anything! Fizzle (talk) 01:25, 6 January 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks. I guess I'll stop uploading images. After all, having the English manga means I can also add refs and such. Sorry for the trouble! —Darkness(Talk) 02:11, 6 January 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If there is anything you think needs uploading from the mangas, just ask and I'll get right on it. Fizzle (talk) 22:49, 6 January 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sorry

OK, I'm sorry for doing that. I was just trying to help because you said you didn't want to keep that. Sorry if it caused any inconvenience.....

Okay. I'm also sorry for warning you, but I just wanted to make sure that you knew. Sorry! —Darkness(Talk)|

ZELDA editing group

Hey Darkness, Can you please add this page to ZELDA because it is in need of SERIOUS attention because it has almost nothing. Hero of Time — GeneralTarken [*] 02:27, 7 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The page is completely new, and so I decided it might be a good idea to wait a few days to see if it is getting any larger. If the page remains tiny, then I will reconsider adding it. It's okay if you want to add it yourself, though. —Darkness(Talk) 02:36, 7 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks for the advice. — GeneralTarken [*]

About the Public Domain...

Hey. I noticed this in your sandbox. Just so you know, there's a reason why I didn't do it like the other ones. We decided it was better to fully integrate it into FileInfo because that's what we eventually plan to do with Copyright and Fan Art and all the rest. As standalone templates they're obsolete because of FileInfo, so there wasn't much sense in making a new license template that would automatically be obsolete. :P

Thanks for helping out with stuff like this, by the way. :) — Hylian King [*] 18:04, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, the only reason in my opinion that it might be a good idea is that it seems to take up unneeded space on the page. Personally, I think that the copyright, fan art, etc. templates by themselves are actually useful, as they are just the needed template.
But the FileInfo template, is, as a whole, more useful. But I don't intend on giving every image a description, anyway.
I wasn't actually intending to create a template... I just put it there because, well, I just.... Put it there...
And thanks for the compliment. I'm going to try to entirely remove the UncategorizedFiles, which, even though it is entirely impossible, I can still try, and the Public Domain category helps, a lot. —Darkness(Talk) 18:14, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Pipe Linking

Hey, just wanted to tell you that you can just leave the "dorf" bit of Ganondorf's name outside of the link (like [[Ganondorf]] instead of [[Ganondorf]]) and it will give you the same effect. The MediaWiki software will just absorb the rest of the text in the same manner as if you did the second one. This also obviously works for other examples, like when making links plural, though it doesn't recognize apostrophes. Hope that makes things quicker for you. :) - TonyT S C 14:40, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Long-overdue apology

I am extremely sorry for my behavior using that other account. I have stopped vandalizing and trolling for good now, and I will never do that kind of thing again. EVER.

--TripleTriforce 15:25, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you. I'm sorry for what I did, too. It was as much my fault as yours, really. If you'd like, I'll delete the conversation on my talk page. —Darkness(Talk) 15:27, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

File Info Template

Hey, Darkness. Just wanted thank you for your extensive work with the File Info template. You're doing an awesome job. :D - TonyT S C 14:08, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you. I'm now trying to remove the ImageSelf template from these pages and also continue with the UncategorizedFiles. Also, I've been having a slight problem with the FileInfo template: if I copy it on top of existing text, each section of it breaks up. It's not really a problem unless I forget and do it. —Darkness(Talk) 14:13, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
One more thing: what should I categorize this file as? —Darkness(Talk) 14:15, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm not sure what to do for the template splitting like that, other than maybe putting it on a page as it should look and then copying it from there.
As for that image, I'm not entirely sure. At best, I would say "artwork" (with no affiliation to the games), but I'll ask around. - TonyT S C 14:21, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
One more thing; Category:Fan Art shouldn't (and isn't) be entirely "fan art" because we have (heavily) edited images, self photos, things that are for user pages, and even a few images of frogs in it. And Category:Website is for signature boxes, too? What if the signature box has fan art in it? —Darkness(Talk) 14:27, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think that's something to bring up on the Fan art template. Perhaps we should reinvent its purpose altogether to allow room for unofficial images.
Could you explain further about the website category? I wasn't aware it was used for signature boxes. - TonyT S C 14:33, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, the description is "This image is a screenshot or graphic of a website" and it seems that a "graphic" of a website would include signatures and such. The category describes it as "banners, icons, and articles". Actually, now that I think about it, images like this should fall under the website category and images like this should be fan art. —Darkness(Talk) 14:39, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You would place either of these templates in the "Place Text Here" boxes:

The {{Exp}} template can be used to hide text if it won't fit in the box. Also, you can just put normal text into the areas. If you have any more questions about the template, you can either ask me or read the table help guides, which is the HTML element used to create the template. —Darkness(Talk) 02:09, 24 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Zelda Wiki Editor Chat

Hey, so I know you had some concerns about the public chat and the appropriateness of it, so I'd just like to give you a heads up about our new Editor Chat. Its purpose is to have a strict focus on wiki discussions and collaboration instead of random banter (true to this, many people that were present in the public chat aren't in there). If you think you might be interested in joining that, you can ask one of the staff members to add you. :) - TonyT S C 04:22, 28 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks, and I'd like to join it, but I'm not allowed to join currently. Thanks for inviting me, though, and I might consider joining in the future. —Darkness(Talk) 11:50, 28 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wow...

Hey, Darkness! It's been a little while since I talked to you, hasn't it? Now, I think I'm ready to make some edits. Hope to see you around soon! (Yes, I know you never left, but i just wanted to say hi.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jigglypuff123 (talk) 16:26, 29 March 2013

Hello and welcome back! I'm not sure if you'd left, but if you have, then welcome back! First off, one thing to remember while editing is that a small mistake- a typo, or a redirect- that you come across in an article can be fixed. I've edited pages to correct capitalization and such, and every edit that fixes something, no matter how small it is, improves the wiki. And also, try to use Show Preview as much as possible. It's vital to see if you messed up the coding, made a typo, or forgot something- one coding error literally ruins the page and sometimes the entire wiki. Finally, if you are looking for something to edit, use pages like Category:Stubs, Special:RandomRedirect, Special:RandomPage, and Special:UnusedFiles to help you.

Oh, and remember to sign your posts with ~~~~ on talk pages. I had to use View History to see who you were just now- and it helps the conversations be easier to read. And finally, welcome back! —Darkness(Talk) 22:42, 29 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Just so you know...

Admins are able to do automatic text replacements that can do hundreds of pages in a matter of seconds. Instead of doing stuff like Pumm Model.png&action=historysubmit&diff=360303&oldid=291225 this manually on every single page, feel free to ask me or another admin and we can have it done instantly. — Hylian King [*] 00:36, 24 April 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Help.

Hey, you have been watched for awhile and the Boss likes you. So please make an account on the ssb wiki and contact me. There I'm: TheIncrediblePichuLOL. Please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheLinkOfTime (talk) 20:18, 23 September 2013

Sorry to butt in, but it really looks like you're advertising your cause for your talk page on SSB Wiki. Please do not reach out to users like this; it's non-constructive for wiki improvement. If you would like people to join some cause like that, I recommend using a forum instead. - TonyT S C 06:40, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Actually, I'm just joking. :D I've deleted my comment, too TheLinkOfTime (talk) 03:21, 25 September 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Then I must say you have a strange sense of humor. Also, we do not allow people to delete comments on talk pages, so I've reverted it. - TonyT S C 04:53, 25 September 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Humph.

Wow, it's been a while. Two Years in fact.. I just sorta...left, I guess. I never did get around to making any edits...err..well, I've made like one minor edit, but that's it. Anyways, just wanted to come and say "Hi!"--Jigglypuff123 (talk) 13:03, 13 September 2014 (UTC)Jigglypuff123Reply[reply]
