Veggie Rice Balls are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Veggie Rice Balls are made by Cooking any Vegetable, herb, or Flower with Hylian Rice in a Cooking Pot. Link can make their default version either by using Hyrule Herbs, which offer no Added Effects, or by using multiple ingredients with contradicting Effects. Eating them will heal some of Link's Hearts to his Life Gauge. These dishes originate from Kakariko Village and are stuffed with many ingredients found in the mountains.[1]
Several different variations of Veggie Rice Balls can be made, depending on the type of Vegetable, herb, or Flower used:
- Hearty Veggie Rice Balls:[4] Made by using Hearty Radishes, Big Hearty Radishes, or other hearty ingredients. Link can eat them to heal all of his Hearts and will gain temporary Hearts.[4]
- Energizing Veggie Rice Balls:[5] Made by using energizing ingredients. When eaten, Link's Stamina Wheel will be partially refilled.[5]
- Enduring Veggie Rice Balls:[6] Made by using Endura Carrots or other enduring ingredients. Consuming these rice balls will completely restore and overfill Link's Stamina Wheel.[6]
- Hasty Veggie Rice Balls:[7] Made by using Swift Carrots, Swift Violets, or other hasty ingredients. They can be eaten to boost Link's movement speed.[7]
- Spicy Veggie Rice Balls:[8] Made by using Warm Safflinas or other spicy ingredients. If eaten, Link will gain one level of Cold Resistance.[8]
- Electro Veggie Rice Balls:[9] Made by using Electric Safflinas or other electric ingredients. One level of Shock Resistance will be given to Link when he eats these meals.[9]
- Mighty Veggie Rice Balls:[10] Made by using Mighty Thistles or other mighty ingredients. By eating them, Link's attack power will be boosted.[10]
- Tough Veggie Rice Balls:[11] Made by using Fortified Pumpkins, Armoranths, or other tough ingredients. Link's defense will be increased when he eats them.[11]
- Sneaky Veggie Rice Balls:[12] Made by using Blue Nightshades, Silent Princesses, or other sneaky ingredients. If consumed, Link will receive a boost to his Stealth.[12]
- Chilly Veggie Rice Balls:[13] Made by using Cool Safflinas or other chilly ingredients. Link can eat these rice balls to gain one level of Heat Resistance.[13]
