"Village in the Lake" is a Voice Memory in Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.[1]

Overview

"Village in the Lake" is the hundred and seventh Voice Memory, following "Mountain of Prayers" and preceding "A Sundered Mountain". It takes place on a cliff in the northeastern Hills of Baumer, overlooking the Deya Village Ruins. Zelda reveals that Deya Lake is an artificial reservoir created after a drought almost dried Lake Hylia. It was named after Deya Village, which it ended up flooding.[1]

Transcription

Deya Lake is artificially created. It is said that long, long ago there was a great drought that threatened to dry up Lake Hylia, so Deya Lake was created as a reservoir, just in case. The name Deya stems from the name of the village that the lake has flooded.
