Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Wetland Stable is a Stable located in the Lanayru Wetlands along Hylia River; it rests north of the Dueling Peaks and northwest of the Riverside Stable. The Wetland Stable is operated by Lawdon, who runs both the Horse-tending service and the inn.[3] Just outside the entrance, Yolero trains with his Master Torch, which he claims to be the legendary Weapon that is given to the chosen hero.[4]

Ami sits next to the Cooking Pot and reluctantly gives directions to the east, west, and north.[5] If Link asks about the east, Ami replies simply with Zora's Domain; if he asks about the west, Ami tells him about Hyrule Castle and the fabled East Passage that leads directly into the Castle;[6] if he asks about the north, Ami replies with Death Mountain.[7] When Link tries to leave, Ami asks if he would like to know what is to the south. If Link says yes, Ami complains that he would like to know as well, but that he is never allowed to the leave the Wetland Stable.[8]

Inside the tent, Link can find a poster depicting a recipe for an Electro Elixir, as well as the Rumor Mill: Volume 5 on a table. Behind the Stable sits the Kaya Wan Shrine. Hestu may also appear here while on his way back to Korok Forest. Quince can be found with his pet Hylian Retriever, Satty watching the east; the latter can be befriended to find a metal Treasure Chest containing an Opal in the woods nearby.[9]

As with all other Stables, Beedle can be found sitting just outside Riverside Stable's entrance, but he will retreat inside when it is Raining. Kass can be found playing his bandoneon in front, and he mentions the Kaya Wan Shrine nearby.[10] He then asks if Link would like to hear a song about Calamity Ganon from 10,000 years ago.[11] Cambo, Endai, Kazul, Rik, and Spoone stop at this Stable on their journeys. After Link saves Leekah at Rebonae Bridge, she will head to the Stable for safety.[12]

When staying at Wetland Stable, Link can choose to rest in either a regular Bed for 20 Rupees or a soft Bed for 40 Rupees.[13] Lawdon explains that the soft Bed leaves its users feeling more energized when they wake up.[14] If Link decides to stay at the Stable, Lawdon offers to wake him up in the morning, at noon, or in the evening.[15] Once Link makes his choice, Lawdon will send him off to sleep.[16][17] When Link wakes up, Lawdon will greet him.[18][19][20] By sleeping in the soft Bed}, Link will receive a bonus Heart when he wakes up.

One of the stablehands, Izra, can be found looking into the Water of Hylia River next to the remains of an old Wagon. If Link speaks to him, Izra will point out a shape in the Water that he believes is a Treasure Chest.[21] He has been trying to figure out how to pull it ashore with little luck,[22] and he is so curious about its contents that he has been losing sleep.[23] To complete the "Riverbed Reward" Side Quest, Link must pull the Treasure Chest up using the Magnesis Rune. Inside, he will find a Knight's Broadsword. If Link tells Izra that he found treasure inside, he will be frustrated that he lost his opportunity to become rich.[24] Alternatively, if Link informs Izra that it was a sword, he claims he did not want the treasure.[25] After this, the Side Quest will be completed, and Link will be able to keep his Knight's Broadsword as a reward.

If Link has already completed "Find the Fairy Fountain", Pikango can be found painting Hyrule Castle at Wetland Stable during the "Captured Memories" Main Quest.[26] He will be happy to see Link again and offers him help in identifying Pictures.[27] In this location, Link is able to show him the twelfth Picture in his Album, which Pikango is able to identify it as a forest northeast of the Bottomless Swamp.[28]
